A note on the 2020 Fair:

Hello everyone,

We have been receiving a lot of inquires about whether the fair will occur or not. We are currently working closely with Mercer County Health Department to provide a full-fair. This will include rides, livestock shows, Demo Derby, Tractor Pulls, Beer Garden, and most importantly- concerts. For up to date information, stay tuned to our Facebook Page, and if you would like to be included in our Email updates, please send us an email at info@mercercountyohiofair.com.

Please understand that although we are having a full-fair, it is your decision whether you feel comfortable attending or not. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death.  By visiting the Mercer County Fairgrounds, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. We have Facebook Pages of each Livestock Show Arena where we will be livestreaming the shows if you do not feel comfortable in the stands.

Also, we are always receiving new directives from the Local and State Health Departments, so please be understanding as our fair schedule continues to change. Events may cancel at any time. Stay tuned to our Facebook Page for the most current information.

Overall, we are adjusting our fair to meet the requirements of the Health Department, and we thank you for being patient as we work out all the details. We are very excited to be having the 2020 Mercer County Fair and hope to see you all on the grounds August 14-20 th .

About The MCF

The first ever Mercer County Fair was held for only one day, on October 28, 1852. The entrance fee was 25 cents for anyone twenty-one years of age and older. The competition was very light, but they still didn’t make enough money to pay all the premiums and expenses. Three more poorly supported Fairs took place, and then none was held for twelve years because of lack of interest and lack of support.
